Pickle Prep - TMinus 11 days and counting

1977 GMC Motor Coach

Does it LOOK road worthy? Well......

Michael just came inside and actually said he thought he is done working on the Pickle!! A huge statement indeed, since he's been working on it for days at a time over the last several months.

Wheels, tires, awning, exhaust , engine tune-ups, headers, shelves, generator removal, fans, LED lighting, fog lights and cup holders. The to-do list seemed almost endless in May when the Pickle was retrieved from storage. Now we're eleven days away from our departure trip and it looks like we may be ready.

We still have all of the packing to do, but at least the mechanical repairs and updates have been done, meaning the Pickle (because it's green and somewhat cucumber shaped) may just be ready. As I've been saying since we acquired this old RV a few years ago, "Every drive is a test drive." We've had very few trips without a breakdown, but Michael's always managed to get it running to finish the trip. So once we were home from each trip, parts needed to be replaced and tweaks made. Thus, each time we took it out, it was(is) a test.

Here comes our biggest test drive of all --  west to the Seattle area, south to San Francisco, and after Christmas,  further south to Arizona and New Mexico. Departure date: October 9th.
